Jacqueline Harvey

Registered Psychologist (they/she)

I have a genuine, person-centred, flexible approach that is neurodiversity affirming, First Nations, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ inclusive. My areas of interest are neurodivergence, sexual and gender diversity, racism, cultural issues, intersectionality, trauma, self-harm and suicidal ideation, personality vulnerabilities, eating and body image issues, working with parents & partners of a loved one with an eating disorder, domestic and family violence, relationship issues, and anxiety and mood disorders.

I use an eclectic, trauma-informed approach, drawing from schema therapy, mindfulness, IFS, CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT, SSCM for eating disorders, and psychodynamic therapy.

I have supported groups and individuals through the peer mentor program at Eating Disorders Qld, drawing from my lived experience with a restrictive eating disorder, and have experience in the non-profit sector and private practice settings. I am multiply neurodivergent and have identified this late in life. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and am a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).

Jacqui sees ages 12 and up and works Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays for therapy, and on Tuesdays for assessments.
